Gone are the days of a table cloth and candles. Tablescapes and event design has gone to a whole new level. If you are looking for ways to wow your guests, I highly recommend using an event design or floral designer who’s work you love. If that is too much $$ search out wedding blogs, galleries and magazines to be inspired. Vertical height and decorated manzanita branches are very hot. Check out your local craft store or nursery. (You can actually just spray paint smooth, cleaned, de-leafed branches and use them for decor.) Often times live potted plants are cheaper than cut flowers.
Instead of one very large centerpieces, collect glass jars (ie tomato sauce, jam jars etc.) and have smaller arrangements grouped together. You can save money by using one kind of flower, and repeating it over and over again. Look to buy in bulk through a wholesaler or a large outlet like Costco. Be creative!
