We just finished this custom letterpress business card project, for a designer in Tennessee. We made the custom duplex paper, with soft white 100% cotton on one side and a slate blue paper on the back. The front was printed in a custom pantone color ink, a grey/ blue hue and we did a blind impression run on the back. (For you letterpress printers out there, we used a little opaque white ink to make the impression pop again the darker paper.) We love double sided printing, and with custom duplex paper, the sky is the limit regarding all the different color combinations available! Enjoy. In the middle of the storms of life we never saw coming, some things remain sweet anchors. When it seems things are spinning out of control, I’m reminded that the greatest things in life can not be purchased. Like a few weeks ago, after a night out of the house (I know when does that happen?) for book club I came home to ask Troy what he did while I was out. “Well besides putting Emma to bed, I talked to your mom on the phone”.
“That’s it?”
“Well yeah, she called to talk to you, but I ended up talking to her for an hour and a half.”
Yup, he’s a keeper.
Troy knows I like surprises and so Friday is his night to make dinner or take us out. Recently he made us “‘bruschetta mini burgers” as an appetizer. Fresh basil, (he bought the whole plant for me) tomato, herb chevre, on mini hamburger buns. I was super impressed on the presentation.
Finally, he noticed one of my favorite pair of jeans had a hole at the knee, so he custom made this heart shaped patch for me, (see image above) and spontaneously fixed my pants for me.
Yeah, you can’t buy that kind of love!

Happy Monday! I’m back after a tough week, last week, I’m ready for a fresh start. Nothing seems more fresh and beautiful than a sunrise or sunset on the beach. Even though we only live a few minutes from the ocean here, we never go enough. Maybe I’ll take Emma this afternoon. Hugs – b

On the menu: Quiche, brie and cheese, candy, cake, chocolate croissants, sparkling lemonade, and favored water. We had homemade crepes with strawberries & whip cream, nutella & banana and lemon, butter & sugar! Thank you everyone for your help!!!

This weekend I got to see a bunch of people I love. I threw a french themed baby shower for one of my best friends. In 7th grade (18 years ago?!) I told her I wouldn’t ditch her as a best friend.. our freshman year in high school I took French class with her because I thought it would be fun. By our Junior year, we went to France together with our French Club. In college she was an au pair in France for a summer, and I later went back to volunteer in dentistry in the french countryside. After college she introduced to me to Troy, three years later we took our husbands to Europe with us. After many metro rides, crepes and pastries together, it seemed right to have a Paris baby shower for her second baby girl!! Here is a bit more French inspiration!!!
