Short dresses are just so much fun.. both for the bride and bridesmaids. As a petite (ie short person) I find dresses just above the knee makes my little legs appear longer.. that and some good open toe heels!

I grew up in a rural part of California, where FFA was the biggest club on our high school campus. Just about everyone I knew lived on at least 1/2 to 10 acres of land and had an assortment of animals and pets. Cattle roamed just outside our Chemistry lab and there still is not a signal light in the lovely community of Happy Valley. I spent many years trying to be extremely un-country.. but small towns have a special place in my heart. Here are a few wide open, rustic, country, chic looks…

There are some weeks I wonder if it’s all worth it.. and then every once in a while I get showered with encouragement. It’s been one of those weeks that has inspired me to press on!

Check out this super sweet post on {The Wedding Standard} that I was asked to be apart of. Cameron and Anna are so very talented, and they shot our letterpress pieces so creatively and beautifully! If you’ve been around the blog long, you know I reference their work all the time. Check it out, I’m always so inspired! Also check out all Cameron’s wedding photography here, it’s his passion and you can see it in every shot. Amazing talent. Thank you again! b

Historically through out my life I haven’t really liked pink as a color. Yet the older I’m getting, the more I’m really falling in love with light soft blush pink. (Maybe it’s because it’s not the hot/ neon pink of the 1980′s!)

Laduree Macaroons- I love the packaging- classic french style.

Here are 5 of many happy moments over the last 5 years, in reverse order. There are too many to count, but these are a few I or others caught on film. Enjoy!

Troy and Emma reading together at bedtime. It’s fun to watch those you love, blossom into new roles. If you look closely they are holding hands:-) They mutually adore each other. Image by me.

New Years- Life is always sweeter shared with life long friends. Of all the friends pictures here, Troy was the last I met. It’s pretty awesome we have so many mutual friends. Image taken by Mr. Tripod.

Hilltop over looking Florence. Picture taken by our traveling companions Steve & Melissa :-) Italy is a must for everyone!

On a motu in Bora Bora for our surprise honeymoon. It’s actually more beautiful than even pictures can describe. We dream all the time about going back. Photo by a random tourist we asked to take this for us.

Five years ago today. I can’t believe how quickly time flies! You really only get sweeter, wiser and better with time Love. Your always, qt.
